⁷ And she brought forth her first begotten son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them within the inn.

⁸ And there were in the same region shepherds abiding in the field and watching their flock by night. ⁹ And lo, the angel of the Lord stood right by them, and the brightness of the Lord shone round about them, and they were very afraid.
